Outdoor Eid Prayer

As Governor Cooper is easing restrictions on outdoor gatherings and allowing places of worship to deliver outdoor services with social distancing, Muslim Youth Community Center is providing Eid el Fitr prayer service in two shifts outdoors (8:30 and 10:00 am) in the Masjid Soccer Field at 5520 Lousiburg Rd., Raleigh NC 27616. Outdoor Eid Prayer (Update-1)
Muslim Youth and Community Center (North Raleigh Masjid) invites you and your family to Eid-ul-Fitr prayer this coming Sunday 5/24 ISA at its location at 5520 Louisburg Rd., Raleigh NC 27616.
Insha’Allah, we will have two prayer shifts as follows:
The first shift gathering starts at 8:00 and prayers at 8:30 am. Our Khateeb are Br. Fiaz Fareed
The second shift gathering starts at 9:30 and prayers starts 10:00 am. Our Khateeb is Br. Mohamed Hannini
Prayers will start with Salah followed by a 10-minute Khutbah. Prayers will start at the above mentioned time sharp. Please allow extra time for parking and walking to the prayer location
The prayers are for the whole family while kids will be with parents. For your safety, we will enforce social distancing of 6 ft and wearing face masks. Please bring your prayer rugs and face masks. Unfortunately, there will be No Wudo on site so make sure you make Wudo before coming. Please leave immediately after the end of the Khutbah. Also, please avoid handshaking and hugging others; exchange verbal greetings with others instead.
The plan for parking will depend on the land conditions after this heavy rain and whether or not the unpaved road from the parking place to the grass field will be passable. Parking details will be announced on Saturday night or on the spot. Please arrive early to allow time for parking so that we pray on time ISA.
In case of rain on Sunday morning (forecast does not show any rain chance on Sunday morning), the prayers may be cancelled.
Please keep safety in mind. Eid Prayer is a Sunnah prayer and we have Rukhsah ” permission” not to pray for safety reasons. So, you can pray at home if you do not feel comfortable attending.
