Ammar Bin Yasser (ABY) Sunday School

Ammar Bin Yasser (ABY) School is a weekend School started by Muslim American Society (MAS) in the Raleigh/Cary area of NC. ABY School is teaching the young Muslim Generations Arabic, Quran and Islamic studies to make them better Muslim Americans.

ABY Sunday School (North Raleigh Branch) is held every Sunday to teach the Muslim youth how to read and understand the Quran as well as memorize short chapters. The focus is also to educate students about their religion, Islam. Most of the students who attend ABY attend a regular public school. ABY understands the importance of Islamic education for children who spend a significant amount of time in public schools that impart no Islamic values. The mission of ABY’s administration and excellent staff members is to plant the seed of Islam and Iman in each child with the essential knowledge about Islam. We also encourage the students to put their religion and Allah first in their lives, be proud to be Muslims, and be steadfast in their faith as they grow up in the current social climate.

Children love to attend Sunday school because of its fun and welcoming atmosphere. Students have the wonderful opportunity to meet their fellow Muslim brothers and sisters from their community and to establish a friendly, valuable relationship with each other that may even last a lifetime. Also, students and teachers establish a connection to further strive to be better Muslims and to benefit from each other by performing fun and learning activities. During the school session, children pray the Duhr prayers together. This is a wonderful way to teach the kids how to make wu’du and pray properly in congregation.
